5.9 Distributor

head

The distributor head serves to distribute the
metered material evenly over all of the coulters.

For this purpose, the distributor head has indi-
vidual segments. The metered material is evenly
distributed over all of the segments in the distrib-
utor head, and is carried to the coulters through
the connected seed line tubes.

To create tramlines, the individual segments
(Fig. 49/1) have flaps to close the tramline outlet.

When creating the tramlines



the flaps in the tramline segments (Fig.
49/1) close off the seed supply to the seed
line tubes of the tramline coulters



the tramline coulters do not deposit any
seeds on the ground.

Each tramline flap is actuated by a computer-
controlled electric motor.
