Section 4 Service Procedures
To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the dryer(s) before servicing.
• Close gas shut-off valve to gas dryer(s) before servicing.
• Never start the dryer(s) with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the dryer is properly grounded.

To Test Accumulator and Timer Motor
Metered Models
Refer to Figure 9
1. Remove service door, accumulator and timing
motor assembly.
2. Remove wires from one side of each switch.
NOTE: Refer to appropriate wiring diagram when
rewiring timer.
3. Manaully advance timing cam to disengage it
from ratchet wheel.
4. Set meter to read Ohms and apply leads on
terminals of each switch in turn. You should read
the following:
Switch A = “zero ohms (closed).
Switch B = “zero” ohms (closed).
Switch C (if present) = “infinite” (open)
5. Manually advance timing cam until it engages
with ratchet wheel and the first “click” is heard.
Switch B should now read “ifinite” (open).
6. Continue to rotate timing cam until second
“click” is heard. Switch B should remain open.
Switch A should read “infinite” 9open) and
Swtich C (if present) should read “zero” Ohms
(closed).
7. Timing Motor
Apply live power to timing motor leads - Timing
motor should advance timing cam.
