rocks and pinch someone’s fingers between the door and the
bulkhead or damage the door.
To close the cabin door and hatch, make sure you close the
door first, then close the hatch and push it against the door
with enough pressure to allow the latch to secure the hatch to
the door. To open the door and hatch, release the door latch
and open the hatch. Then open the door and secure it in the
open position. Make sure the hatch is opened fully to provide
easy access to the cabin.
The door and hatch are made of acrylic plastic glass. Acrylic
glass scratches easily and can chip. It can also be damaged
by some chemicals and window cleaners. Please refer to the
Routine Maintenance chapter for information on the proper
care and maintenance of acrylic plastic glass.

Helm and Passenger Seats
The helm and passenger seats are pedestal seats that swivel
and adjust fore and aft. Each seat pedestal is equipped with a
footrest that swivels and can be adjusted up or down.
There is one lever and one tension adjustment knob on the seat
base. Lifting the lever located on the port side of the seat base
allows the seat to be adjusted fore and aft. Releasing the lever
locks the seat in that position. Loosening the tension adjuster
on the starboard side of the seat base allows the helm seat to
be swiveled on the pedestal. The tension can be adjusted to
lock the seat in the desired position or control how easily the
seat will swivel. It should always be adjusted tight enough to
eliminate play between the seat base and the pedestal.
The pedestal footrest height can be changed by loosening
the collar clamp on the pedestal and the tension adjuster on
the starboard side of the footrest. Then slide the collar and
footrest up or down to the desired position. Once the foot rest
is in the desired position, tighten the tension adjustment knob
to hold the foot rest in position. Then slide the collar against
the bottom of the footrest base and tighten the collar clamp.
Bridge Deck Seats
There are two forward facing seats at the rear of the bridge
deck behind the helm and passenger pedestal seats. The
bottom seat cushions are removable to provide access to the
storage compartments below the seats. The compartments are
drained by gravity to the bridge deck drain system.

The steering, engine controls, engine instruments and switches
for exterior equipment and navigation lights are located on the
helm station. The helm station is designed to provide good
visibility, room for electronics and a more functional cockpit
arrangement.
