Check for completeness
The packaging box contains the following parts:
Complete electrical lawn aerator
Operating and mounting instructions
Mounting of the guide rod assembly
The lawn aerator is packed in a completely
premounted state.
Remove the unit from the packaging.
Unfold the guide rod assembly and screw on the rod
tensioning knobs tightly ( C Pos. 1).
Engage the guide rod assembly at the desired height
and screw it together with the joint tensioning knobs
(
C Pos. 2). Make sure that the electrical and
control cables do not jam ( B Pos. 9).
Adjusting the working depth
Attention!
Adjust the working depth only when the motor is
shut down.
Attention!
The working depth is preset and should be reset
only very carefully since penetrating the soil too
deep can cause damage due to an overloading of
the unit. Correct aeration depth < 3 mm.
The working depth must be adjusted to the
respective grass and soil conditions.
The adjustment should always be checked and
made on flat ground; in position D of the switching
lever ( E Pos. 3), the tips of the blade should
lightly touch the ground.
The working depth is variably adjustable using the
adjusting hand wheel ( F Pos. 8). The set working
depth depends on the blade wear and can be read
on the display (
G Pos. 11). For this purpose,
switch off the unit and put the switching lever
(
E Pos. 3) in position D (Drive).
After frequent use, the working depth can be
readjusted according to the wear of the blade.
For a cultivated, even lawn, a 1/4 revolution in
the "+" direction can be made using the adjusting
hand wheel (
F Pos. 8).
Use
Working depth
Cultivated lawn,
stone-free, soft soil
Set to ground height
Stony, non-cultivated
soil
Set to ground height, adjust
to a more shallow working
depth if stones are hit
Uncultivated, strongly
mossy surface
Start with a low working
depth
Commissioning
Observe country-specific ordinances for operating
times.
Connecting the mains cable
Insert the coupling part of the mains cable onto the
plug of the safety pushbutton.
With the mains cable, form a loop and hang it into
the cable tension relief (
H Pos. 7). Leave the
loop long enough that the cable tension relief can
glide from one side to the other.
Starting the motor
Danger - risk of injury!
Do not tip the unit during the starting procedure.
Make sure your feet are at a sufficient distance to
the cutter unit.
1.
Before starting, set the switching lever ( E Pos. 3)
to P (Park).
2. Press the start button (
D Pos. 10) and, at the
same time, pull the safety bar (
D Pos. 6) towards
the guide bar.
3. After starting the motor, release the start button.
4. Hold the safety bar against the guide bar.
Attention!
Hold the lawn aerator in the working position
during activation!
5.
Push the switching lever ( E Pos. 3) forward into
position D (Drive); the aerator drum is switched to
the working position.
