Selecting the Input Stream Source (SDI Channel)
Figure 24. Input stream source selection
Under the "Input stream source" heading, make selections for Type, SDI device,
and Port. In this example, the following selections were made:
• Type: SDI
• SDI device: AJA Corvid 44 12G BNC
• Port: Port #2
SDI Video Preview
When configuring or creating a pipeline for incoming SDI signals, there is an
video preview thumbnail window for confidence monitoring so you can be
sure which SDI video signal you have selected for encoding. The video preview
automatically displays an image and refreshes about one frame for every one or
two seconds. It is not intended for high fidelity monitoring.
If no image displays, check that the signal is actively being input to the selected
port.
NOTE: If you require reference-quality video monitoring, we recommend that you use
either an SDI monitor and/or a receiving client (host system) with a high-quality
GPU and Monitor.
Start Detecting Video Input Properties
To prompt BRIDGE LIVE to detect the incoming SDI signal and some of its
characteristics, click Start Detecting Input located above the video preview
window. The Input stream configuration options column updates to show a new
heading called "Auto-detected video streams."
