2. Type :
Display which type of the pool is.
Network : the pool defines a pool of IP addresses to service more than one
DHCP client.
Host : the pool services for a specific DHCP client identified by client identifier or
hardware address.
If "-" is displayed, it means not defined
3. IP :
Display network number of the DHCP address pool.
If "-" is displayed, it means not defined.
4. Subnet Mask :
Display subnet mask of the DHCP address pool.
If "-" is displayed, it means not defined.
5. Lease Time
Display lease time of the pool.
Buttons
Delete - Click to delete the setting.
Add New Pool - Click to add a new VLAN range.
Save – Click to save changes.
Reset - Click to undo any changes made locally and revert to previously saved
values.
4.4.2. DHCP Snooping
DHCP Snooping is used to block intruder on the untrusted ports of the switch device when
it tries to intervene by injecting a bogus DHCP reply packet to a legitimate conversation
between the DHCP client and server.
The section describes to configure the DHCP Snooping parameters of the switch. The
DHCP Snooping can prevent attackers from adding their own DHCP servers to the
network.
Web Interface
To configure DHCP snooping in the web interface:
1. Click Configuration, DHCP, Snooping
2. Select “Enabled” in the Mode of DHCP Snooping Configuration.
