El indicador es un instrumento de medición
calibrado para la demostración de nieblas de
aerosoles del aceite arrastrado en los
sistemas de aire comprimido.
La sensibilidad del indicador únicamente
está limitada por el número total de horas
determinado para el uso en el sistema de
administración de aire. El indicador está
diseñado para la medición de las
concentraciones de aceite hasta 0,01 ppm
(0,012 mg/m
3
) en un sistema de aire a
presión, y apto para el uso en sistemas con
una presión del conducto entre 70 y 875 kPa
(10 a 125 PSIG).
10.1 Aplicación
El aceite arrastrado en el suministro de aire
de control hacia la válvula reductora de
presión puede tener un efecto perjudicial
sobre el rendimiento del sistema de
regulación. Como no se puede evitar que en
los compresores engrasados se arrastre una
cantidad determinada de aceite, todas las
instalaciones de compresores lubricados con
aceite deben ir equipadas con filtros de
aceite aprobados por el fabricante, para
garantizar un funcionamiento fiable.
El indicador puede ser utilizado
alternativamente de las siguientes formas:
O bien para comprobar el aceite transmitido
desde el compresor, o para revisar el sumini-
stro filtrado de aire antes de la conexión al
sistema y periódicamente en intervalos de
unos meses después de la puesta en funcion-
amiento. Cuando se haya abierto la válvula
de aguja del indicador, se recomienda una
precisión continua sin interrupciones.

for the Indicator
The indicator is a calibrated measuring
instrument designed to assess the contents
of aerosol vapours encountered within oil
compounds drawn from the air in a com-
pressed-air circuit.
The sensitivity of the indicator is merely
limited by the restrictions imposed upon the
total number of operating hours prescribed
for the air-feed system. The indicator is
designed to measure oil concentration levels
below 0.01 ppm (0.012 mg/m
3
) within a
compressed-air system and for application
within systems having a line pressure of bet-
ween 70 and 875 kPa (10 and 125 PSIG).
10.1 Application
Oil that has been drawn in through the sup-
ply of control air to the reducing valve may
lead to adverse effects upon the perfor-
mance of the control system. Invariably,
compressed-air systems operating with lub-
ricants draw a certain amount of oil into
their system and, therefore, all oil-lubricated
compressors are fitted with ex-works with
filters that will ensure a reliable function.
At will, the indicator can be set as follows:
either as a check to verify the amount of oil
expelled by the compressor or for the verifi-
cation of the filtered air feed prior to
entering the system and regularly within
periods of several months after commission-
ing. Once the needle-valve of the Indicator
has been opened, a constant and uninterrup-
ted exposure to the highest possible degree
of accuracy is recommended.
