6.2. Settings for Camera Link
6.2.1. Communication settings
The serial port assigned to Camera Link board is used. The communication system is a
start-stop synchronization conforming to RS-232C standards and the transfer control
specifications are regulated as below. Echo-back is activated against the command input.
Capital letters or small letters are not distinguished.
Baud rate 115200/57600/38400/19200/9600 [bps]
Data bit 8Bit
Parity None
Stop bit 1Bit
Flow control None
Note: In this manual, the value with the under line is the default value.
6.2.2. Communication Software
When the parameters of the camera is configured, it is done by the command via the serial
interface. In this case, the control software should be installed in PC. In this manual.
“Tera Term” is used for the explanation.
6.2.3. Setting of serial port
After Tera Term is started up, click “Settings” on the TAB and select “Serial port” on the drop
down menu. Set the following parameters.
Port Serial port number assigned to camera link interface board
Baud rate 115200 bps (Camera default value)
Data length 8 bit (Fixed)
Parity None (Fixed)
Stop 1 bit (Fixed)
Flow control None (Fixed)
6.2.4. Setting of terminal
Click “Setting” on the TAB and select “Terminal”. On the return code, the box of Receiving should
be CR+LF and Sending should be CR.
6.2.5. Confirm the connection
After Tera Term is set, push Return Key and if “OK>” is indicated on the screen, the connection
with the camera is now effective.
6.2.6. Camera Link Tap
This Camera is 1 TAP output and 50MHz operation regardless of camera setting conditions.
