Check that the boiler room ventilation / boiler air and flue ducts are
unobstructed.

Verify flue gas and combustion air ducts are in good condition, sealed
tight and properly supported.

Open the front panels and check the general condition inside the
cabinet. Clean and vacuum as required.
X

Clean the condensate pipe and trap. Refer to
“Removing, Cleaning and
Installing the Condensate Trap” on page I-58.
X
X
Clean/service the condensate neutralisation system (if any). Refer to
manufacturer’s documentation.
X
X
Clean any filter/dirt separator, plate heat exchanger or balance header
present in the hydraulic system, as required. Refer to manufacturer’s
documentation.
X
X
Check for leaks, both inside and outside the appliance: water, gas,
flue and condensate.
X
X
Check boiler water pressure (at least
1.2 bar when cold). Top up the
system with water if required.
X
X
Check the operation of the burner (flame) through the sight glass and
that the combustion parameters (CO & CO
2
) are according to require-
ments. See
“Combustion and Gas Data” on page G-17.

Check the gas pressure and that the gas supply shut-off devices are
operating properly.
X
Check that the pump(s) is/are operating properly.
X
Check that the fan is operating properly.
X
Replace the gas filter in the gas valve, refer to
“Replacing the Gas
Valve Filter” on page I-60
X
Remove the burner and check its general condition. Clean as re-
quired. See
“Removing, Cleaning and Installing the Burner” on
page I-60.

Replace the ignition and ionization electrodes. Refer to
“Removing and
Installing the Ignition and Ionization Electrodes” on page I-57.

Check all control wiring and connections.
X

Check the condition of the combustion chamber and clean it if re-
quired. See
“Checking and Cleaning the Combustion Chamber”
on page I-62.

Check water quality and record in log sheet, See
“Water Parameters
- Log Sheet” on page I-82

Check the operation of the flue damper (non-return valve), if any, and per-
form the required maintenance. Refer to the manufacturer’s documentation.

Record the operations and results in the Log Sheets provided at the
end of the manual
