Removing and Installing the Access Panels

Conditions:

Tools and Material:

Wrench, hex head, size 4

Removal Procedure:

The panels must be removed and in-

stalled in the indicated order for each 

section of the boiler.

Top panels

1.  Right (large): remove six screws. Retain for rein-

stallation.

2.  Left (small): remove three screws. Retain for rein-

stallation.

Front panels

The front corner piece is attached with 

two screws that maintain the left and 

right top panels. 

1.  Corner: remove two top screws, as required. 

Retain for reinstallation.

2.  Top: remove two top screws. Retain for rein-

stallation.

3.  Center: remove two top screws. Retain for re-

installation.

4.  Bottom: remove two screws. Retain for rein-

stallation.

Side panels

1.  Top: remove nine screws. Retain for reinstallation.

2.  Bottom: remove nine screws. Retain for rein-

stallation.

Rear panels
1.  Top: remove nine screws. Retain for reinstalla-

tion.

2.  Bottom: remove six screws. Retain for reinstal-

lation.

3.  High voltage terminal strip access panel, re-

fer to 

“Accessing the High Voltage Terminal 

Strip” on page I-48.

4.  Condensate trap cover, refer to

 “Removing, 

Cleaning and Installing the Condensate 

Trap” on page I-58.

Installation Procedure

Top panels

The front corner piece is attached with 

two screws that maintain the left and 

right top panel.If the corner piece needs 

to be installed, do not tighten them at 

top panel installation.

1.  Left: install three screws retained at removal.
2.  Right: install six screws retained at removal

Front panels

1.  Bottom: install two screws retained at removal.

2.  Center: install two top screws retained at re-

moval.

3.  Top: install two top screws retained at removal.

Side panels

1.  Bottom: install nine screws retained at removal.

2.  Top: install nine screws retained at removal.
Rear panels
1.  Top: install nine screws retained at removal.
2.  Bottom: install six screws retained at removal.
