Lifting from the front or the back
î
Lifting from the front or the
back is allowed with a hand
pallet truck and fork lift
truck.
î
Pallet truck or fork lift arms should
be at least 1,6 m long (N 280 FS and
N 420 FS) or 1,9m (N 570 FS and
N 840 FS) to prevent the boiler from
being unbalanced and falling.
î
Do not insert the pallet truck or fork lift
arms from the front or the back of the
boiler if the condensate trap and front
bottom panel are installed.
î
To lift the boiler from the front or the
back, make sure that the front bottom
panel and condensate trap are re-
moved (they are not installed in a new
boiler).
î
Failure to comply with these recom-
mendations can result in damage to
the boiler or injuries to the personnel.
1.
If they are already installed, remove the front
bottom panel (refer to
“Removing and In-
stalling the Access Panels” on page I-32
),
and the condensate trap cover and conden-
sate trap (refer to
“Removing, Cleaning and
Installing the Condensate Trap” on page
I-58).
2.
Slide the fork lift arms under the boiler, paying
attention to the correct balance of the boiler.
Lifting from the top:
î
The boiler can be lifted from
the top for transport, using a
forklift or a crane and a
spreader bar with a load ca-
pacity of at least 1,000 Kg,
and in compliance with local
regulation requirements.
î
Pay attention to the correct balancing
of the load when lifting the boiler, and
make sure to locate the spreader bar
vertically above the boiler.
î
Make sure to use a spreader bar
whose length can be adjusted to the
exchanger width to prevent damaging
the hoisting rings and heat exchanger.
î
Failure to comply with these recom-
mendations can result in damage to
the boiler or injuries to the personnel.
1.
Remove the top panels. Refer to
“Removing
and Installing the Access Panels” on page
I-32.
2.
Lift up the boiler, using the spreader bar at-
tached to the hoisting rings, as shown in
Fig.
12 below.
