stores, where temperature is maintained at or below the specified levels and relative humidity is

– The unit is only intended for the storage/display of packaged, cooled food products.

3.5 Setup and installation
The equipment is a self contained plug-in unit.
All individual units are delivered ready for operation and have their own control unit.
The units are pre-programmed from the factory.
Each unit contains one or more hermetically sealed refrigerant circuits, the components of which
are technically connected to each other permanently.
The design of the individual model types can vary.
The waste heat generated in the unit is discharged to the ambient air via a heat exchanger.
The unit is equipped with transport rollers to make changing the location easier (back and forth).
3.5.1 Automatic defrost
All units are equipped with automatic defrost.
The following display messages and symbols appear during automatic defrosting (see →
Operating
and display elements [ } 44] ).

The frequency, duration and timing of automatic defrost are pre-programmed.
The accumulated defrost water is drained from the unit interior into heated condensation bowls and
evaporated there.
CAUTION
Leakage of defrosted water.
Slipping hazard.
▪ Check for puddle formation in front of and below the unit.
▪ Remove spilled defrosted water immediately.
▪ Contact maintenance services immediately (see →Maintenance services).
During the defrosting process, a slight increase in the temperature can occur.
If necessary, a semi-automatic defrost can be initiated (see →Semi-automatic defrost).
3.5.2 Unit lighting function
The function of the unit lighting is coupled with the night blind. It is controlled using a magnetic
switch (hidden). The night blind can be opened and closed mechanically (see →
Night blind opera-
tion [
}
46] ).
Daytime operation function:
– Night blind open.
– Unit lighting automatically on.
Night-time operation function:
– Night blind closed.
– Unit lighting automatically off.
4 Operating and display elements
4.1 Temperature display
The temperature of the unit is adjusted in the factory in such a way that the optimum product tem-
perature is maintained.
