Maintenance and Repair

Exchanging the CAN Cable

Place the Instant Pilot face down on a bench (as shown in

Figure 103

page 154).

Carefully remove the labels that are across the screws.

CAUTION

Voltage in the Instant Pilot
Damage to the electronics



Before you open the Instant Pilot, the CAN-cable must be disconnected
from the HPLC module to assure that no voltages are present in the Instant
Pilot.

CAUTION

Electronic boards and components are sensitive to electrostatic discharge
(ESD).



In order to prevent damage always use an ESD protection when handling
electronic boards and components.
