Controlling the E5250A
Switch Control Basics

The two output ports are determined by the

channel_list

parameter of the

:ROUT:CLOS

command, and the lower output port number is always odd.

So, when you execute

:ROUT:CLOS

:ROUT:OPEN

command for the couple

port, four relays operate synchronously as shown in Figure 5-3.

For example, assume that input ports 1 and 2 are coupled, and that the Couple Port
mode is ON:

1. If

:ROUT:CLOS

command specifies to connect channel 0105, relays are closed

to realize two channels (0105 and 0206).

2. If

:ROUT:OPEN

command specifies to disconnect channel 0105, all four relays

between the two input ports and two output ports are opened.
