Calibration using the Agilent 81000BR
Reference Reflector

You can use the agilent 81000BR Reference Reflector to make a
Reflectance Calibration, and a Termination Calibration.

Reflectance Calibration

Use this procedure to calibrate the Return Loss module against a
component of known return loss.

Making sure all the connectors are clean, set up the instrument as shown in
Figure 93 if you are using an External Source.

Tip: For best results and higher repeatability, fix the cable.

Attach a component with a known return loss to the end of the patchcord.

Tip: The Agilent 81000BR Back Reflector is such a component, offering a
return loss of 0.18

0.1 dB.

Move to the Return Loss channel, then press [Details]

Move to [FPDelta], press [Edit], set the value to 0.000, then press [OK].
