9.1.
Safety notes for normal operation, control
WARNING
Personal injury, Property damage and downtimes due to improper operation.
Operators of the DLT-V83 must be trained in the handling of the device.
Users of DLT-V83 with integrated UPS must also be trained in the proper handling of battery
packs.
Risk of accident! Personal injury and Property damage caused by using the terminal
and driving at the same time.
Do not operate the DLT-V83 terminal while driving.
Risk of injury and Property damage due to improper deployment location (refueling
stations, etc.)
Observe the intended use of the DLT-V83, e.g. not in potentially explosive areas, not in
life-supporting facilities.
Turn off the DLT-V83 when you are near gas stations, fuel depots, chemical plants or
places where blasting operations take place.
Ensure that the deployment location of the DLT-V83 complies with the permissible
environmental conditions.
Personal injury from battery packs: Short-circuit, fire, chemical burns, toxic substances.
The integrated UPS battery packs in the cable cover of the DLT-V83 can ignite if handled
improperly (risk of fire), cause chemical burns or release toxic substances.
Handle the cable cover carefully.
Do not allow water or other liquids to come into contact with the device (exercise particular
caution with corrosive liquids).
Ensure that no liquids or foreign bodies get into the cable cover.
Provide sufficient ventilation.
Do not allow the device to come into contact with fire or operate it close to sources of heat
or fire, open flame or heaters.
Observe the specific IP protection class.
Only use the DLT-V83 within the permitted temperature and humidity range.
Do not subject it to strong impacts and vibrations that exceed what is specified by the
class 5M3/5M2 (DIN EN 60721-3-5).
