Chapter 7: Monitoring and managing the Remote DocTransport Server
If a service stops without user intervention, it is automatically restarted
after 60 seconds.

Click
Services
in the left panel.
To restart services that are running
1. On the
Services
page, select one or more running services.
2. On the toolbar, click
Restart
. If other services are associated
with those you selected, the associated services will restart as
needed.
To start or stop services
l
On the
Services
page, select one or more services, and then click
Start
or
Stop
.
Remote DocTransport Server statistics and
queues
Remote DocTransport Server statistics include the
Description
and
numeric
Value
of work. Queues show actions currently in process on
the appliance.
Symbols for queues show whether work in the queue is decreasing,
increasing, stable, could not be queried, or does not apply to the server.
Symbols for statistics help to show whether the value is critical, within
or outside the normal range, or not available.
To view Work Requests

Click
Statistics
, and then click
Work Requests
on the toolbar.
The total number of notifications, conversion jobs, print jobs, and
other activities on the server is shown for each item listed under
Name
.
To refresh the list, click the
Refresh
button at the bottom of the page.
Event Log
The log shows events that occur during fax processing and other
system tasks.
To view log data
1. Click
Event log
in the left panel.
2. To see
General
information and
Details
, if any, select a
message, and then click
View
.
3. To limit or expand log data, select
Errors
,
Warnings
, or
Information
.
Setting up dialing rules
Each dialing rule consists of a number pattern and rules and restrictions
that will be applied if the destination fax number matches the pattern or
number.
Note
If your organization requires a dialing prefix for all outgoing calls
(including all outgoing faxes), specify the prefix in the Global Board
Settings. See
Configuring the DocTransport Modules
in the
RightFax
Administrator Guide
.
To add a dialing rule
1. Click
Dialing Rules
in the left panel, and then click
New
.
2. You can enter a
Comment
to describe the dialing rule.
To add extra weight
l
In
Add extra rule weight
, enter a number in the range 0 -100.
This setting adds extra weight to the rule so it can be selected over
another rule that has a better pattern match.
