to use a specific IP address, click

Preferred DNS server
box, enter the address of
the primary DNS server.

Alternate DNS server

secondary DNS server.
4. Click
Restart
.
To change the server name
1. Under
Server Settings and Tasks
, click
Change Server
Name
.
2. Enter a unique name that complies with standard DNS naming
conventions. Names are not case-sensitive.
3. Click
OK
. The system restarts.
Changing domain settings
You can change the network membership of this Remote DocTransport
Server.
To change the domain settings
1. Under
Server Settings and Tasks
, click
Change Domain
Settings
.
2. Specify the domain or network membership for this Remote
DocTransport Server. Do one of the following:
l
Click
Domain
, enter the domain, and then enter the
Domain
User Account
and
Password
of an account that has
permission to add computers to the domain.
l
Click
Workgroup
and enter the name of the workgroup.
3. Click
Restart
.
Setting the server date and time
Normally, the local date and time is automatically set when the Remote
DocTransport Server is connected to the Internet. If the server is not
connected to the Internet, you can set the date and time manually.
To set date and time
1. Under
Server Settings and Tasks
, click
Set Date and Time
.
2. In the
Date
and
Time
boxes, select the date and time, and then
click
OK
. The system restarts.
Changing firewall settings
You can enable ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) echo
requests to receive messages about problems in your network. Use
these messages to troubleshoot connection problems.
To enable ICMP echo requests
1. Under
Server Settings and Tasks
, click
Change Firewall
Settings
.
2. Select the
Allow ICMP echo (ping) requests
check box, and
then click
OK
.
