Chapter 5: Securing communication using TLS/SSL
Chapter 5: Securing communication using TLS/SSL
To use TLS/SSL security for secure web sessions via https, you must
install digital certificates on the servers. These can be self-signed
certificates or certificates from a certificate authority. Depending on the
certificate authority, you may have to also upload a root certificate to
ensure that the chain of trust will function as expected.
Using RightFax tools, you can use only the X509 Certificate, Base64
encoded.
Note
If you reset a Remote DocTransport Server to factory defaults,
you must repeat the process of uploading and installing a certificate.

Using a certificate from a certificate authority
To use a certificate from a certificate authority, first create a certificate
signing request (CSR) and then download and submit the CSR to the
certificate authority. After you receive the certificate, upload the
certificate to the server, and set security to use the certificate.
