Table F‑1. Sensor head UPP commands
Parameter
Command
Description
Read measuring
value
<AAXn>ms
Reports the most recent temperature
measurement read by the sensor head.
The pyrometer responds with a 5-digit value in
°C or °F, rounded to one decimal place.
For example, if the most recent temperature read
by the sensor head is 256.3°C, the pyrometer
responds with
02563
.
• A response of
77770
indicates that the
sensor head is not ready yet.
• A response of
88880
indicates that the
measuring temperature is higher than either
the basic temperature measurement range
or set subrange.
• A response of
75550
indicates that the
sensor head temperature is higher than the
maximum sensor head temperature.
• A response of
74440
indicates that the
sensor head temperature is lower than the
minimum sensor head temperature.
Read measuring
value (repeated)
<AAXn>ms<VAL>
Reports a set number of temperature
measurements read by the sensor head.
Valid values are 000 to 999.
For example, if you send the command
01N2ms025
, sensor head number 2 connected
to the converter box with address 01 will report
the next 25 temperature measurements.
Read basic
temperature
range
<AAXn>mb
Reports the basic temperature measurement
range of the sensor head. The reported value
represents the temperature range in the selected
temperature scale (Celsius or Fahrenheit).
Value is 8-character hexadecimal:
XXXXYYYY
XXXX
= Start of the temperature range
