Drive Replacement
When auto reconstruction mode is turned on, data reconstruction starts automatically after a failed
drive is replaced. When auto reconstruction mode is turned off, a menu to start reconstruction is
displayed after the failed drive is replaced, and data reconstruction must be initiated manually. The
following example assumes that a drive has failed and auto reconstruction mode is turned off.
The display indicates that the failed drive has been replaced. Press
the select button to start data reconstruction.
To confirm the start of data reconstruction, press the select button.
If the cancel button is pressed, the display returns to the main menu
without starting reconstruction.
Press the select button to confirm.
The display indicates that data reconstruction has started, and
indicates the drive that is being reconstructed, and the progress (in
percent) of the reconstruction process. When data reconstruction is
complete, the display returns to the main menu.
The display indicates that reconstruction has finished with spare
drive configuration. After the failed spare drive is being replaced, the
display returns to the main menu.
