LESSON 4
110
Using Adobe Encore DVD Templates
Building a DVD image
Your project is finished. Instead of burning the files to disc, you’ll build a DVD image. A
DVD image can be used to burn a DVD at a different time, or using a remote recorder,
such as one at a replication facility.
Note: Adobe Encore DVD also supports the DLT format, which many replication facilities
require.
1
Choose File > Build DVD > Make DVD Image.
2
Choose Current Project from the Create Using pop-up menu.
3
Specify a destination for the DVD image, and click Next.
Ensure that there is sufficient space on the drive you specify.
4
Review the information in the Make DVD Image: Summary dialog box.
5
Click Build.
Burning a DVD from a DVD image file
You can use Adobe Encore DVD to burn an image file created by Adobe Encore DVD
without having access to the original source materials, or even the Adobe Encore DVD
project file. The image file contains all the information needed to burn the disc.
1
If the Lesson_04 project is still open, save and close the project.
2
With no projects open in Encore DVD, choose File > Build DVD > Make DVD Disc.
3
Choose Disc Image from the Create Using pop-up menu.
