In single-ended configurations, more electrostatic and magnetic noise
couples into the single connections than in differential configurations.
Therefore, the single-ended connection is not recommended unless
minimal wire connections are necessary.
3.2.3 Differential Measurements
Differential Connection for Grounded-Reference Signal Sources
The differential analog input provides two inputs that respond to the signal
voltage difference between them. If the signal source is ground-referenced,
the differential mode can be used for the common-mode noise rejection.
Figure 5 shows the connection of ground-referenced signal sources under
the differential input mode.
