9. UP
/DOWN
Normal mode: Manually changes the measurement range up or
down.
Switches to MANUAL when the measurement range is set to
AUTO.
When setting the wavelength:Changes the value of the input
wavelength.
When setting the smoothing function:Changes the number of
times that smoothing is performed.
When setting the menu:Selects the setting in each menu item.
10. MAX/
/
Normal mode:
(Key Lock function)
is lit by pressing the [
] key for 2 seconds and all keys are
locked. The key lock function is canceled by re-pressing this
key for approximately 2 seconds.
The key lock function is also canceled when the power turns off
or the sensor is removed.
MAX HOLD function
The MAX indicator is lit and the maximum measurement value
is held and displayed by pressing the [
] key. This function
can be canceled by re-pressing the [
] key.
The maximum value, which is displayed and held in the MAX
HOLD state, is initialized by changing the measurement range,
wavelength, display unit, CF value, or calibration wavelength
or executing the calculation ON or OFF, or ZERO.
When setting the wavelength:
Selects the digit in which the value of the input wavelength is
changed.
When setting the menu:
Selects the digit of the setting value in each menu item.
11. MENU
Sets to the MENU mode. Refer to Section 3.1, “Menu Map.”
ENTER
The MENU setting items are changed and then the MENU mode
exits by re-pressing this key.
12. SMOOTHING
Performs the moving average calculation of the measured value
and can reduce noise.
The SM indicator is lit and the smoothing calculation is started by
pressing the
[SMOOTHING]
key. The measurement does not
reach the number of times that smoothing is performed, while the
SM indicator blinks. This function can be canceled by re-pressing
the
[SMOOTHING]
key. If the measurement range, wavelength,
CF value, or calibration wavelength is changed or ZERO is exe-
cuted while smoothing is performed, the SM indicator blinks
again until the measurement reaches to the set number of times
because the smoothing is initialized. Set the number of times that
smoothing is performed in MENU. The initial value is set to 10.
Smoothing cannot be started, if the number of times that smooth-
ing is performed, is set to 0 or 1.
CANCEL
When the MENU mode is set, cancels the MENU mode without
applying any of the settings.

13. LIGHT
Lights the backlight of the display. The off, dark, middle, or bright
light is repeated by pressing
[LIGHT]
.
LOCAL
Cancels the REMOTE state when the RMT indicator lights.
