Operating Environment
Use this instrument under the following conditions: ambient temperature from 0
C to +40
C and a non-con-
densing relative humidity of 80% or less.

Power Supply
This instrument can be operated from the AC power supply (100 V to 240 V) by using the supplied AC adap-
tor or four AA dry batteries.
1.8.1
AC Adaptor
The supplied AC adaptor can be used with supplies of 100 V and 240 V. If using this instrument outside
Japan, use a plug adaptor, which complies with the safety standards of the relevant country.
CAUTION:
Use specific AC adaptor only. Problems such as instrument damage or a decrease in the accuracy
of the instrument may occur because of improper voltage, polarity, or output conditions.
1.8.2
Battery
When using the fresh alkaline dry battery, the instrument continuously operates for approximately 60
hours.
Four batteries are required. Purchase batteries separately, because no batteries are included in this instru-
ment.
CAUTION:
1.
Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Use alkaline batteries only.
2.
Use batteries of the same type.
3.
Do not mix fresh and used batteries.
4.
Recycle or dispose of used batteries in compliance with the laws, ordinances, and regulations in the relevant
country. For more information, refer to the description on the battery.
5.
If not using this instrument for a long time, remove the battery from this instrument to prevent the battery
leakage.
