10.  RH COMPENSATION

The controller offers different way to compen-
sate for high/low relative humidity (RH) levels
in the room. All compensation functions are
explained below.

Refer to section 4.6 to enable the RH
compensation functions.

1. High RH Comp. on Fan Speed:

The controller can compensate for high RH
levels  by  increasing  the  speed  of  variable-
speed fan outputs. When this compensation
function is used, the controller gradually in-
creases the regular speed of variable fans as
the inside relative humidity level increases*.
The graph below shows how it works.

* If variable fans are off and the ventilation level is

lower than stage 3, the controller will activate the

fans and increase their speed the same way.

When the RH level exceeds the set point, the
controller starts increasing the regular speed
of variable fan output 1; when the RH level
is 5% above the RH set point, the variable
output  continues  increasing  in  speed  and
the controller starts increasing the speed of
variable fan output 2. The full compensated
speed  of  both  variable  outputs  is  reached
when the relative humidity level is 10% above
the RH set point.

2. High RH Comp.on the Min Vent. Timer

The controller can compensate for high hu-
midity levels by increasing the level of mini-
mum ventilation. As the RH level rises, the
controller increases the

“On Time”

 portion of

the minimum ventilation timer to compensate
for the change. The maximum compensated

“On Time”

is  reached  when  the  RH  level  is

10% above the RH set point.

3. High RH compensation with Kool-Cel®s &
mist outputs:

If RH levels are too high,  the controller can
stop  the  misting  output  and/or  Kool-Cel®
output.  Theses  outputs  are  disabled  when
RH  levels  reach  the  respective  RH  shutoff
limit of each output.

Low RH compensation with mist outputs:

4.

To compensate for low RH levels,  the control-
ler can activate the misting output in timer
mode. The misting output starts when RH lev-
els  decrease below the Low RH Set Point.

5. High RH Comp. with the Heating Outputs:

The  controller  can  compensate  for  high
humidity levels by activating the heaters in
timer mode. As the RH level increases, the
controller  increases  the

“On  Time”

  portion

of the heating timer to compensate for the
change. The maximum compensated heating

“On Time”

is  reached  when  the  RH  level  is

10% above the RH Set Point.
