SPA-ZC 302

Ensure that PCT is set to use the serial port that the cable is connected to. Check this 
by selecting 

Settings > COM

 

in the main menu in PCT. For details about PCT, see  

Section 5.2. Starting PCT. PCT adjusts the COM port settings of the PC 
automatically.

4.2.

New configuration

Before a new configuration is started, you have to select a standard configuration 
template from the configurations described in Chapter 6. Standard configuration 
templates. Which one you should select, depends on the requirements of the system 
in which the protection relay and the gateway device are installed.

When you have selected the standard configuration template, you have to define the 
protection relay dependent data and commission the gateway by following the 
instructions below:

1. Start the PCT and open the selected standard configuration template by 

selecting 

File > Open

 in the main menu. Select the wanted standard 

configuration template and click 

Open

, or just double-click on the template you 

want.

Define the address of the SPA slave connected to the gateway by selecting 

Slave > 

Set Address

 and type in the address in the SPA Slave Address dialog, 

see Fig. 4.2.-2.
