The diagram above shows an
application example for the
monitoring function of the
SMARTtouch panel.
The states of the magnetic contacts
MC1 to MC6 and the switch/key bolt
contact of the entrance door are recor-
ded with binary inputs or universal inter-
faces and sent on the EIB. The detec-
tors MD1 and MD2 are EIB movement
detectors and send their signals imme-
diately on the bus.
The magnetic contacts and the
movement detectors are linked via
group addresses/actions with the
inputs of the panel. The switch/key
bolt contact with a group address is
assigned to an arming object.
When the user leaves the house, he
arms the system by locking up. If the
external light is also controlled via
EIB, it can signal via the object
“Armed status flashing” that the
system is now armed. If the user
does not receive a flashing status, he
knows that there is a problem with the
installation. A window is still open
perhaps.
