SIP Network Parameters
To Configure SIP Settings:
Use the following procedure to configure the SIP Authentication and Network Settings on the BluStar 8000i.

Description
sip proxy ip
The IP address of the SIP proxy server for which the BluStar 8000i uses to send all SIP requests.
A SIP proxy is a server that initiates and forwards requests generated by the BluStar to the targeted user. Up to
64 alphanumeric characters.
For example, sip proxy ip: 192.168.0.101
sip proxy port
The proxy server's port number. Default is 0.
For example, sip proxy port: 5060
sip backup proxy ip
The IP address of the backup SIP proxy server for which the BluStar 8000i uses when the primary SIP proxy is
unavailable.
For example, sip backup proxy ip: 192.168.0.102
sip backup proxy port
The backup proxy’s port number.
For example, sip backup proxy port: 5060
sip outbound proxy
This is the address of the outbound proxy server. All SIP messages originating from the BluStar 8000i are sent
to this server. For example, if you have a Session Border Controller in your network, then you would normally
set its address here. Default is 0.0.0.0.
For example, sip outbound proxy: 10.42.23.13
sip outbound proxy port
The proxy port on the proxy server to which the BluStar 8000i sends all SIP messages. Default is 0.
For example, sip outbound proxy port: 5060
sip backup outbound proxy
The IP address or domain name of the backup outbound SIP proxy server for which the BluStar 8000i uses
when the primary SIP proxy is unavailable.
For example, sip backup outbound proxy: drax.us.aastra.com
sip backup outbound proxy port
The backup outbound proxy port on the backup outbound proxy server to which the BluStar 8000i sends all
SIP messages.
For example, sip backup outbound proxy port: 5060
sip registrar ip
The address of the registrar for which the BluStar 8000i uses to send
REGISTER
requests.
A SIP registrar is a server that maintains the location information of the BluStar 8000i.
A value of 0.0.0.0 disables registration. However, the BluStar 8000i is still active and you can dial using the
username@ip address of the BluStar 8000i.
For example, sip registrar ip: 192.168.0.101
sip registrar port
The registrar's port number. Default is 0.
For example, sip registrar port: 5060
sip backup registrar ip
The address of the backup registrar (typically, the backup SIP proxy) for which the BluStar 8000i uses to send
REGISTER requests if the primary registrar is unavailable.
For example, sip backup registrar ip: 192.168.0.102
sip backup registrar port
The backup registrar's (typically the backup SIP proxy) port number.
For example, sip backup registrar port: 5060
sip registration period
The requested registration period, in seconds, from the registrar.
For example, sip registration period: 3600
