POST-PROCESSING BUILD PARTS

Due to the large size of the ProX 950 build platform and the potentially large size of 3D builds, it is highly recommended to have

a two-RAMCO system for part cleaning, one filled with TPM (Tripropylene Glycol Methyl Ether) and the other filled with water. A

RAMCO is machine that agitates 3D parts in different liquids to remove uncured resin. This procedure assumes you have already

let build parts drain over the MDM and have used the offload cart to move the print platform to your post-processing area.

WHEN WORKING WITH GREEN MATERIAL (THAT WHICH IS NOT FULLY CURED) IT IS IMPORTANT TO WEAR

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT SUCH AS SAFEFTY GLASSES, FACE SHIELDS, GLOVES, AND LAB COATS . IT IS ALSO

NECESSARY TO USE THE PROPER METHODS OF DISPOSAL OF 3D-PRINT WASTE MATERIAL .

1. Wearing nitrile gloves, and with the help of another person, move the build platform into the TPM RAMCO and secure it to the

RAMCO’s platform.

NOTE: Do not simply remove the parts from the build platform without first removing the platform from the

machine . Doing so could cause build debris to end up in the MDM and damage future builds .

2. Flip the top switch (1) on the left side of the RAMCO down to lower the platform down into the TPM.
3. Turn the knob (2) on the right side of the RAMCO to close the lid. Press the green

start

button (3) to start the machine. Allow

the system to clean the parts for up to 40 minutes.

4. Lean build platform at a slant against the back of the RAMCO

to allow excess TPM to drain from the parts and platform.

5. When the platform stopps dripping, and with the help of

another person, move the build platform into the water

RAMCO to further strip the parts of resin. Secure the build

platform to the RAMCO platform and perform Steps 2 through

4 once more.

NOTE: Although these directions state to bathe the

parts in the RAMCOs for 40 minutes each, you may

have to leave them in a longer or shorter time to clean

the parts of resin . Solubility and concentration of the

resin in TPM and water will dictate sufficient bathing

time .
