Printer Description Files
Printer description files for Windows applications are included on the
QMS-developed Windows Drivers disk shipped with your printer.
If you use the QuarkXPress 3.3, after you install the QMS driver for
Windows, install the QMS 1060 PDF according to the instructions in
your QuarkXPress documentation for installing PDFs.
If you use PageMaker 5. x , use the version 4 PPD on our Windows
Drivers disk. If you experience problems using our Windows driver
with this application, refer to chapter 6, the “QMS Windows Driver
Printing Problems,” section, in the
Operation guide for more informa-
tion.
If you use Adobe Photoshop, for best output quality use the QMS-
developed Windows driver. Then, so that choices in the QMS driver
take effect, go to PhotoShop’s Page Setup dialog box, and select Use
Printer’s Default Screen under the Screens option.
Printing from the PC
You're now ready to print from your PC. From this point, you'll proba-
bly perform most printing tasks from your application. For specific
information, check the printing section in your application documenta-
tion.

Reference guide.
