Permanent Virtual
Channels
You establish a
permanent virtual channel
(PVC) manually by
management.
An established PVC connection is not automatically released and is not
dynamically checked and reinitiated.
The characteristics of the PVC connection include:
Connections initiated by the network administrator
Connections established and released manually
Long-term duration connections in a LANE environment
Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connections
Setting up PVCs
