Subnet Mask
This indicates the destination subnet mask of the IPv4 route. 255.255.255.255 is a host destination
and 0.0.0.0 is the default route.
Flag
This indicates the route status.
U-Up:
The route is up.
!-Reject:
The route is blocked and will force a route lookup to fail.
G-Gateway:
The route uses a gateway to forward traffic.
C-Cache:
The route is a recently used routing entry, and it’s stored in the routing cache.
H-Host:
The target of the route is a host.
R-Reinstate:
The route is reinstated for dynamic routing.
D-Dynamic (redirect):
The route is dynamically installed by a routing daemon or redirect.
M-Modified (redirect):
The route is modified from a routing daemon or redirect.
Metric
The metric represents the "cost of transmission". A router determines the best route for
transmission by choosing a path with the lowest "cost". The smaller the number, the lower the
"cost".
Interface
This indicates the name of the interface through which the route is forwarded.
brx
indicates a LAN interface where x can be 0~3 to represent LAN1 to LAN4 respectively.
nasx
indicates a WAN interface using IPoE or in bridge mode.
ethx
indicates an Ethernet interface using IPoE or in bridge mode.
pppx
indicates a WAN interface using PPPoE.
pon
indicates a PON interface through which all packets are transmitted.
omci
indicates an OMCI interface where OMCI data is transmitted between the PMG2006-T20A
and the OLT.
oam
indicates that PLOAM messages are transmitted on the PON interface.
lo
indicates a loopback interface is implemented to check the connection of the PMG2006-
T20A and a WAN or LAN network.
