Table 3-5 802.1x Setup
LABEL DESCRIPTION
Active This field displays whether ( Yes ) or not ( No ) IEEE 802.1x authentication is enabled on this port.
Control When this field displays Auto , the ALC1224 authenticates all subscribers before they can
access the network through this port.
When this field displays Force Authorized , all connected users are allowed to access the
network through this port without authentication.
When this field displays Force Unauthorized , all subscribers are denied access to the network
through this port.
Reauthentication This field displays whether ( On ) or not ( Off ) a subscriber has to periodically re-enter his or her
username and password to stay connected to the port.
Reauthentication
Timer This field displays how often a subscriber has to re-enter his or her username and password to
stay connected to the port.
802.1x Edit Screen
Click Port Setup in the navigation panel and then the ADSL line card’s link to open the card’s Port Setup screen.
Click the 802.1x link in the ALC Port Setup screen to go to the card's 802.1x Setup screen.
Click a port's index number in the 802.1x Setup screen to edit the port’s IEEE 802.1x settings.
