TERMINAL OPTIONS
DATA FORMAT
DATA FORMAT defines the methods your modem employs to exchange data with the
local DTE and the remote DCE.
CHARACTER LENGTH
COMMAND SET
+ ASYNC
AT&M0
Operates as an asynchronous modem with
data buffering, may work with data compres-
sion and/or error control. Fixed DTE speed with
flow control. (Default)
SYNC DATA
AT&M1
The modem accepts asynchronous com-
mands, but changes to synchronous operation
in data mode and exchanges data synchro-
nously with a remote modem.
DIRECT
AT&M2
Direct asynchronous mode without data buffer-
ing. DTE speed equals link speed.
SYNC
AT&M3
The modem accepts synchronous commands
(V.25bis) and exchanges data synchronously
with a remote modem. As an alternative, you
can dial from the front panel or use a telephone
set to connect.

10-bit characters. (Default)

11-bit characters.

AT*C2
9-bit characters.

AT*C3
8-bit characters.
Note: The character length includes the start, data, parity, and stop bit(s).

AT*I0
The modem accepts asynchronous AT com-
mands. (Default)
V.25bis
AT*I1
The modem accepts asynchronous or bit-ori-
ented synchronous V.25bis commands.
DUMB
AT*I2
No commands will be accepted. The modem
ignores the DTE data in idle state.
Note: Only asynchronous commands are accepted on the parallel port or
internal card DTE interface.
