NetNumen™ U31 R06 Hardware Installation Guide

The power distribution switch is set to OFF.

A cross head screwdriver, a wrench, a multimeter, and a ladder are ready.

Steps

Determine how to route the power cables and the grounding cable.

For the principles of the top and bottom routing principles, refer to

6.2 Cabling

Requirements

Determine the connection terminals used at both ends of cables and the accurate

length of each cable.

Make power cables and a grounding cable for the cabinet. For more details, refer to

Appendix A Making a Power Cable and a Grounding Cable

Install the power cables and the grounding cable at the cabinet side, see

Figure 6-7

and

Figure 6-8

Install the power cables and the grounding cable at the

power distribution box.

Connect the yellow-green grounding cable to the "PE" connection terminal of the

power distribution box.

Connect the blue power cable to the –48 V/–60 V connection terminal of the

power distribution box.

Connect the black

RTN

power cable to the RTN connection terminal of the

power distribution box.

Use the multimeter to measure the resistance between the –48 V/–60 V input terminal

and the RTN input terminal of the unified

PDU

Note:

If the multimeter does not give out any sound, no short circuit exists.
