Pelletherm V.2 M01 46
Although it is possible to stop the operation of boiler from the controller
keyboard, the manufacturer recommends stopping (starting) to be made by
the switch "Start", as described in section 6.4.1. In this case the main
advantages are speed and independence from supply voltage.
Upon receipt of signal to stop the operation of the hot-water boiler "Pelletherm
V.2 M01", it is stopped the flow of fuel, but its fans still work (for supply of air
for combustion and lead away of the flue gases to the chimney). That’s why
after receiving stop signal, in the boiler burner, available pellets continue to
burn and there is released thermal power, which makes boiler inert.
Provided the hot-water boiler "Pelletherm V.2 M01" is shut down, ash from the combustion
chamber should be thoroughly cleaned, as well as cleaning the ash accumulated on the heat
exchanger walls, because ash is corrosive to steel surfaces, which leads to reduction of
service time of the equipment. It should also be done regular checkup of the equipment by
specialized service. Compliance with these procedures allows to ensure long service time of
the boiler and its reliable operation.
6.5. SWITCHING OFF THE BOILER FROM EXTERNAL MODUL MANAGING ITS WORK
(ROOM THERMOSTAT).
The external module for control the boiler operation can be programmed for instance as
room thermostat, gsm communicator or other similar module. Stopping the boiler operation
takes place by removing the signal for operation, which is passed to the boiler from the
external control module. When the boiler goes from burning mode to standby mode or "off"
mode, the control controller performes the so called "controlled shutdown" where fans are
running (for supply of combustion air and lead away the flue gases), and also emergency
signals are observed. After cooling of the boiler, it must be turned off from power supply. In
case the equipment operation is not needed, then it should be done cleaning the boiler from
the ash deposited on its heat exchanging surfaces.
6.5.1. BOILER EMERGENCY STOP.
In operating the equipment, situations may arise where the boiler will go into emergency
mode. Some situations are detected by its controller and automatically is performed
procedure for their prevention. Also the controller of the equipment goes into emergency
mode, which is signaled by an error code displayed on the display of the control module.
In the event of a failure should be checked the error code displayed on the display of the
control module of the boiler and to take appropriate measures to eliminate the cause of
occurring the failure, and then
restart
the operation of the equipment by its turning off from
the supply voltage and subsequent turning on. Description of the error codes and other
messages is shown in Table 7.2 and Table 7.3. It is advisable to check and possibly clean
the accumulated ash and fuel on the grate of its burner before restarting the boiler.
The control module has built-in protection against exceeding the temperature
of the circulating water in the boiler body over limit value of 95
o
C. Upon
reaching this temperature, stoking of pellets stops and the boiler enters in
failure – there appears message for overheating. The emergency thermostat
set at 100
o
C is an additional protection.
