Easy adjustment from inside.
Setup board in use.
Notice angle of shaft and cavitation plate.
Bolt the bracket to the transom.
Note that we put the nut plate outside the transom,
and used shorter bolts.
It is much easier to adjust from inside the transom.
At this time, you should make a setup board from a
piece of
flat
¾ ply, or 1x stock.
Make it 8 inches wide, and about 3 feet long.
The setup board is necessary to set the drive depth
and angle.
Without it, it is hard to see exactly where you are.
