This value is calculated by dividing the rated voltage by
rated current. If the rating is 500 V, for example, the lower
limit is calculated as 500 V÷1 mA = 0.5 MΩ. That is, an
insulation resistance of 0.5 MΩ or more is required to
provide the rated voltage to the instrument.
