Clean the spark arrestor screen or replace the muffler

CAUSE

THE ENGINE WILL NOT ACCELERATE

CAUSE

SOLUTION

The fuel tank is empty

Fill the fuel tank with properly mixed fuel

The primer bulb was not pressed enough

Press the primer bulb fully and slowly 10 times

The engine is flooded

Place the blue choke lever in Position 3, flip throttle
level to FAST and pull starter rope

The fuel is old and/or improperly mixed

Drain the fuel tank and add fresh, properly mixed fuel

The spark plug is fouled

Clean, gap or replace the spark plug

The spark arrestor screen is plugged

Clean the spark arrestor screen or replace the muffler

The outside temperature is below 40º F

Pull the starter rope up to 10-15 times

The outside temperature is above 90º F

Put the throttle control in Fast and pull the starter rope

CAUSE

The air filter is plugged

Clean or replace the air filter

The fuel is old and/or improperly mixed

Drain the fuel tank and add fresh, properly mixed fuel
