No sound
coming out of
the subwoofer.
Wired/Wireless
The AC power supply cable of the subwoofer is not firmly connected to the
AC wall outlet.
Connect the AC power supply cable firmly to the AC wall outlet.

Wired/Wireless
The volume of the subwoofer is low.
Increase the volume via the control on the subwoofer.

Wired/Wireless
The subwoofer is turned off.
Turn on the subwoofer.

Wired/Wireless
The subwoofer's Auto Standby function (the function that automatically
turns it off) was activated.
Deactivate the subwoofer's Auto Standby function or adjust its operating
sensitivity.

Wired
The “Bass Out” item under “Subwoofer” is set to “Front/Wireless”.
Set it to “Wired”.
Wireless
Conditions for wireless communications are not good, and the unit and the
wireless subwoofer kit are not connected.
(The indicator on the wireless subwoofer kit flashes green, or glows red.)
Move the wireless subwoofer kit closer to the unit.
If the problem persists, move the wireless subwoofer kit to a location where
its indicator steadily glows green.

If there are obstacles such as metal furniture obstructing communications
between the unit and the wireless subwoofer kit, rearrange the furniture or
reposition the wireless subwoofer kit.

If there are devices such as microwave ovens or wireless network devices
that emit electromagnetic waves, move the unit and the wireless subwoofer
kit away from these devices.

Unplug the power cable of the wireless subwoofer kit from the AC wall
outlet, and then plug it in again.

Wireless
The unit is not paired with the wireless subwoofer kit.
(The indicator on the wireless subwoofer kit flashes red.)
Move the wireless subwoofer kit closer to the unit to improve conditions for
wireless communications, and follow the instructions below to pair the two.
After “Pairing” is selected for “Subwoofer” in the setup menu, press and
hold the SUBWOOFER PAIRING button on the wireless subwoofer kit for
three seconds to pair it with the unit. If the indicator on the wireless
subwoofer kit does not glow green steadily after pairing, the unit may be
malfunctioning. Disconnect the power cable and contact your nearest
Yamaha dealer or service center to request repairs.
Wireless
The subwoofer output is set to “Wired”.
Set to “Front/Wireless”.

Increase the volume via the control on the subwoofer.

Increase the volume of the subwoofer with the SUB + key.

Content from an input source with a limited support for low tones is playing. Play content from an input source with broader support for low tones to see
if volume is still low.

The unit is in target playback mode.
Switch to 3D surround/surround playback mode or stereo playback mode.
