A. Insert the joint coupler into the plate and
secure it. After securing it, put the cover over
the joint coupler. The inserted portion of the
coupler should be hidden with the cover.
B. Route the throttle position sensor lead out-
side the vehicle past the air filter breather
hose and cylinder head breather hose.
C. Install the clip in the direction as shown.
When doing so, install the clip of the crank-
case breather hose above the radiator stay.
D. Align the red paint mark on the breather hose
with the convex mark on the joint pipe, and
then install the breather hose.
E. After connecting the throttle position sensor
coupler, attach the cover. Do not let the lead
and the cover enter the radiator fan.
F. Route the radiator breather hose outside the
vehicle past the crankcase breather hose.
When doing so, cross the radiator breather
hose and crankcase breather hose below the
radiator.
G. When installing the engine ground lead termi-
nal, it can face either way. Make sure that the
terminal does not contact the cylinder head
bolt and that it faces to the rear beyond the
cylinder ridge line.
H. Cylinder head ridge line
I. Route the fuel hose in front of the fuel pump.
J. After connecting the fuel pump coupler,
attach the cover.
K. Fasten the starter relay lead and the starter
motor lead together within the width of the
cross tube. Position the lock part of the plas-
tic locking tie to downward of the vehicle. Do
not cut the end but insert into the inside of the
rear frame.
L. Route the starter motor lead inside of the rear
frame and along the rear fender.
M. Place the resistor coupler under the starter
relay.
N. The routing order of leads not indicated does
not matter.
O. 20 mm (0.79 in)
P. Adjust any slack between the rear shock
absorber and the clamp of the side cover.
Q. Fasten the wire harness at the white tape
position using the plastic locking tie.
R. Position the lock part of the plastic locking tie
to downward of the vehicle. Cut the end of
the plastic locking tie.
S. After the connection, attach the cover to the
holder.
T. Route the cylinder head breather hose inside
the coolant temperature sensor lead.
U. Route the radiator fan motor lead on the
inside of the tension arm and outside of the
cylinder head breather hose. Either the radia-
tor fan motor lead or the radiator fan motor
lead at the wire harness side can be routed
on the outside where they cross each other.
V. Fasten the bracket to the tank rail (right)
using the rivet.
W. Make sure the cable guide has contact with
the stamped location of the vehicle identifica-
tion number, and install it.
X. In no particular order.
