B-6 Battery malfunction Check the battery voltage.

page 8-128. Execute the diagnostic mode.

Go to item B-9 and delete the
fault code.
ISC operating sound is not
heard
→
Go to item B-7.
B-7 ISC (Idle Speed Control) unit is
not moving correctly. Replace the ISC (Idle Speed
Control) unit.
Refer to “CLEANING THE ISC
(IDLE SPEED CONTROL) UNIT
AND THROTTLE BODY” on
page 7-15. Execute the diagnostic mode.

ISC operating sound is heard

Go to item B-9 and delete the
fault code.
ISC operating sound is not
heard
→
Go to item B-8.
B-8 Malfunction in ECU. Replace the ECU.
Refer to “REPLACING THE
ECU (Engine Control Unit)” on
page 8-128. Execute the diagnostic mode.

Return the ISC (Idle Speed
Control) valve to the initial open-
ing position.
B-9 Delete the fault code and check
that the engine trouble warning
light goes off. Start the engine and let it idle for
approximately 10 seconds.
Confirm that the fault code has
a condition of “Recover” using
the Yamaha diagnostic tool, and
then delete the fault code.

and then check the condition of
the fault code using the mal-
function mode of the Yamaha
diagnostic tool.
