Action
Actuates and fully closes the ISC valve, then opens it to the standby
opening position. This operation takes approximately 3 seconds until it is
completed.
The “check” indicator on the Yamaha diagnostic tool screen come on.
Procedure The ISC unit vibrates when the ISC valve operates.

opens the valve. This operation

nent other than ISC (Idle Speed
Control) unit is defective.

Go to item B-2.
B-2 Connection of ISC (Idle Speed
Control) unit coupler.
Check the locking condition of
the coupler.
Disconnect the coupler and
check the pins (bent or broken
terminals and locking condition
of the pins). Improperly connected
→
Con-
nect the coupler securely or re-
place the wire harness.
Execute the diagnostic mode.

ISC operating sound is heard
→
Go to item B-9 and delete the
fault code.
ISC operating sound is not
heard
→
Go to item B-3.
B-3 Connection of ECU coupler.
Check the locking condition of
the coupler.
Disconnect the coupler and
check the pins (bent or broken
terminals and locking condition
of the pins). Improperly connected
→

nect the coupler securely or re-
place the wire harness.
Execute the diagnostic mode.

Go to item B-9 and delete the
fault code.

heard

Go to item B-4.
B-4 Wire harness continuity. Open or short circuit

Replace
the wire harness.

trol) unit coupler and ECU cou-
pler.

B-5 Installed condition of ISC (Idle
Speed Control) unit. Check for looseness or pinch-
ing.
Improperly installed ISC (Idle
Speed Control) unit

Reinstall
the ISC (Idle Speed Control)
unit.
Refer to “THROTTLE BODY” on
page 7-13.
Check the intake air passages
for air leaks.
Execute the diagnostic mode.
