Draining the engine oil
1.
Place a drain pan under the drain hole,
and then remove the drain bolt and let
the oil drain completely.
2.
Remove the upper and lower mounting
nuts, and then remove the upper case.
3.
Remove the muffler assembly from the
upper case.

Remove the exhaust manifold and seal
from the oil pan.

Check the oil strainer for dirt and residue.
Clean if necessary.

Replace if necessary.

Check the cooling water pipe for defor-
mation or corrosion. Replace if neces-
sary.
3.
Check the relief valve for clogs or dam-
age. Replace if necessary.

Install new gaskets onto the exhaust
guide
