AT Port Interrupt Levels
(J27, J28, J29, J30)
The 82C605 chip can interrupt the AT architecture on four levels. A jumper is provided for
each level to enable and disable the interrupt on that particular level. When the jumper is IN,
the interrupt is enabled. When OUT, the interrupt is disabled. Table 2-9 shows the
corresponding jumpers and interrupt levels. The default is all IN.

Serial Port Configuration
(J36, J37, J38, J39, J40, J41, J42, J43, J56, J57, J58, J59, J61)
Serial port #1 is RS-232 only (COM1 default configuration). Serial port #2 (COM2 default
configuration) can be jumper-configured as either RS-232 or RS-422. Table 2-10 shows how
the serial port configuration jumpers must be set for choosing the different port types for
serial port #2. The default is RS-232.
NOTE
XVME-682 modules with Revision A artwork may
only have the COM2 Port configured as RS-232.
