Appendix D   – Replacing Flat Panel Display
Bulbs

We recommend sending the flat panel display to Xycom for bulb replacement. However,
if you would like to replace the bulbs on site, this appendix provides instructions.

Note

Refer to the label on the back of your unit to determine the flat panel
display model. If you are unsure which instructions to use, call Xycom
Customer Support at 1-800-289-9266.

Sharp 15-inch TFT Flat Panel Display  (#LQ15X01W)

1.

 

Turn off the power source.

2.

 

Unlatch and remove the lid.

3.

 

If a touchscreen is installed, disconnect the touchscreen cable (TCH1) at the top of
the system board.

4.

 

Disconnect the KEYPAD1, LEDKB1, and MS2 connectors.

5.

 

Lay the unit facedown, and remove the four screws holding front panel to the display
adapter plate.

6.

 

Flip the unit over, lift off the front panel, and set it aside.

7.

 

Referring to Figure D-1, use a small Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the four flat
