Operation

Standard Carriage Operation

The standard carriage uses manually adjustable forks and can 

be tilted up or down by using the thumb switch on the control 

handle.

Fork Ratings

Warning

DO NOT exceed forklift capacity of 30,000 

pounds (13,608 Kilograms) with a 72 inch 

fixed carriage or 28,000 lbs (12,700 kilo-

grams) with a 72 inch adjustable carriage. 

The total rated capacity of the forks being 

used must equal or exceed forklift capacity.  Forks can bend 

or break causing loss of load and could result in death  or 

serious injury. 

All approved forks for this forklift are marked with a maximum 

load capacity rating (A). This rating is stamped on the left edge 

of the fork just below the fork pivot shaft. The rating listed is in 

U.S. pounds and is based upon a 36 inch (914 mm) load center 

(B).  This rating specifies the maximum load capacity that the 

individual fork can safely carry at a maximum load center of 36 

inches (914 mm).

Because forks are always used in multiples, the total rating 

of any combination of forks will be the sum of their rated 

capacity.  Other than block forks, all forks should be used in 

matched pairs.  Block forks should be used in matched sets.

The maximum load capacity for this forklift with the boom 

fully retracted is 30,000 pounds (13,608 Kilograms) using 

a 72 inch fixed carriage, or 28,000 lbs (12,700 kilograms) 

when using a 72 inch adjustable carriage.

The matched pair or set of forks used on this forklift should 

have total load ratings which equal or exceed 30,000 pounds 

(13,608 Kilograms) when using a fixed carriage and 28,000 lbs 

(12,700 kilograms) when using a 72 inch adjustable carriage. 

When the load rating of the forklift differs from the load 

capacity of the forks, the lower value becomes the overall load 

capacity.
