Chapter 1 Safety Warning and Instructions

1

The maximum filling volume or cooling capacity of an open bath or refrigerated bath for
movable immersion circulator shall be 25L and 600W. The fixing and connection for the
immersion circulator, external circulating adaptor and the bath must be secured and
hydraulically tight. Bath cover should be used where necessary to reduce the effect of
evaporation of the liquid on the electronics of the circulator.

Caution: smaller bath may develop hazard of overflowing, and leakage or slipping-off of the
circulating tubes may cause hazard of spillage or spray! Excessive volume or capacity may
degrade specifications for temperature control!

Before attempting to remove the immersion circulator away from the bath, always unplug the
equipment and wait until the temperature recovers close to ambient and note the following:

1.

Don’t touch the heated surface or any parts with hot residual liquid or, put it on surface of
flammable or temperature sensitive materials! Warning, Risk of burn hazard!

2.

Don’t touch the frozen surface or any parts with cold residual liquid! Warning, Hazard of
frostbite!

Caution, Hazard of possible electric shock when removed and placed in horizontal or up-side
down conditions and if the heat transfer liquid penetrates to electrical assembly resulting in
deterioration of the insulation!

Caution: Risk of frozen hazard!

When water is employed as heat transfer liquid, and when intended for standstill for long
period and when experiencing low ambient is possible, run the equipment at operating
temperature close to ambient for at least 1hr. Empty the bath containing water, and remove
the water completely. Disconnect the equipment and remove the mains plug from power
source.

Do not disassemble or exchange assembly parts and electric circuits by unauthorized
personnel! Hazard of possible electric shock! In case of repairing, contact your local distributors
or supporting technicians.

Always remove the mains plug from the socket before cleaning, moving, maintenance or
repairing!

The first time powering up after repairing or standstill for long period, or at designated intervals
under normal use, check the functionality of the following parts or components:

Hydraulic tightness and fastening of drain device at three months intervals;

Cutoff capability of the safety temperature limiter (STB) at 6 months intervals.
