Socket for power supply must be equipped with protective ground (PE) to prevent against
hazard of possible electric shock.
2.1.3 Connecting to an application system where necessary
The external circulating pipe, including flexible tubing and hose, shall be connected only after the
equipment and application system are well seated and installed. The length and distribution
path shall be as short as possible and be so arranged that no kink and other mechanical
stress develops during normal use which otherwise may result in thermal and/or liquid hazards!
Flexible hose, fitting and coupling are important for the safe operation of the equipment; Use only
hose, fitting and coupling provided with the equipment or recommended by Xtemp!
The ratings of pressure and temperature for the hose, fitting and the jacket, container or heat
exchanger of the application system, their chemical resistance to the heat transfer liquid shall
meet requirements of the operating temperature and/or pressure range of the heat transfer
liquid to be delivered by the equipment!
Thermal insulation for hose, fitting, coupling and the application system is important for
performance and safety! The materials of the insulation shall meet the requirements of the
maximum operating temperature range!
Keep the cables and wiring protected by conduit and/or hose and well secured; keep them
clearly away from direct contact with any exposed heated parts of the equipment and
application system!
